Today, Marchesi Mazzei is one of the ten oldest family businesses in Italy, one of the most acclaimed names in Italian wine. The Marchesi Mazzei’s Zisola estate is located in southeastern Sicily, the home of Nero d’Avola. The climate in this area of Sicily, along with the special characteristics of the soil and the traditional “Alberello” planting, permits the perfect ripening of the grapes and produces two great wines, Zisola and Doppiozetta, that stand out for their character and aroma.
